Frequently asked questions
What is in the Combo-CN170 box?
1 x Diplomat DP-002 unit and 2 x Beetel C51 phones.
Can I connect a landline to it?
No. The DP-002 is an internal intercom only. For outside calls on every phone, choose an EPABX combo such as one with the CCL 104B.
Can I add more phones later?
No. The DP-002 supports at most 2 phones. Choose an EPABX if you expect to grow.
What wiring is needed?
Run 2-core telephone cable from each phone to the unit, then plug in the phones and power and pick up to test.
How do I call the other phone?
Just lift the handset. The other phone rings and you talk when it is picked up.
Will the caller ID screen work on this intercom?
The DP-002 has no outside line, so the C51 is used here as a normal handset. Its caller ID becomes useful if you later move it to a landline or EPABX.
Where does it suit?
Boss to secretary, ground floor to first floor, or shop to godown.
