Frequently asked questions
Can I add more phones later?
Not on this unit. All 32 extension ports are used by the 32 phones in the kit, so choose a bigger model if you expect to grow.
Do I need a landline for it to work?
No. The phones work as an intercom without any line. Connect up to 2 landlines or GSM gateways when you want outside calls.
Will the phones show who is calling?
No. The Beetel C11 is a basic phone with no caller ID screen.
How far can phones be from the system?
Hundreds of metres on good 2 core telephone cable. CCL specifies less than 600 ohms loop resistance per extension.
Will it work in a power cut?
Power backup depends on the exact supplied model. Follow the manual and do not connect a battery unless the manual gives a battery input and voltage.
Can NavKar help me set it up?
Yes. NavKar gives free technical help on WhatsApp for setup and programming questions.
What is an EPABX?
An EPABX is a small phone exchange. It shares a few outside lines between many extensions and lets staff call each other free of charge on an intercom.
Do I need special phones?
No. Standard corded or cordless telephones work as extensions. Simple 2 core telephone wire connects each extension to the exchange.
How do I choose the number of lines and extensions?
Pick the number of outside lines that can be in use at the same time and the number of desks or rooms to connect, then add some spare extensions for growth.
Is technical support available?
Yes. Free technical support is available for installation and setup.
