Hikvision Video Door Phones: Wired and IP Models Explained
Short answer: NavKar Systems stocks four Hikvision video door phones, priced from ₹6,000 to ₹20,500. The DS-KIS205T (₹6,000) is a plain wired analog kit for one door, the DS-KIS302-P (₹12,500) joins an analog outdoor camera to an IP indoor monitor that can also go on Wi-Fi, and the DS-KIS603 (₹16,900) and DS-KIS602 (₹20,500) are full IP systems that can be powered over the network cable. All prices are live website prices, include GST, and delivery across India is free.
Our general video door phone buying guide explains monitors, unlocking and installation for every brand. This page is only about Hikvision: what each model on our store actually is, how the analog, hybrid and IP versions differ, and which one fits your house or office.
What are the types of Hikvision video door phone?
Hikvision builds door phones in three families, and the model number tells you which one you are looking at.
- Analog (wired) kits such as the DS-KIS205T. The outdoor camera and the indoor monitor talk to each other over their own cable. There is no network, no router and no app. You press a button, see the visitor, talk and unlock.
- Hybrid kits such as the DS-KIS302-P. The outdoor camera is analog, so the cable to the gate stays simple, but the indoor monitor is an IP device. Its listing says it connects by wired Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) or Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n).
- IP kits such as the DS-KIS603 and DS-KIS602. Every unit is a network device. They run on a LAN cable, accept PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 V DC, and give you more inputs and outputs for locks, sensors and alarms.
As a rule, analog is cheaper and easier to fit, while IP costs more but gives sharper video, more connection options and room to grow.

Which Hikvision model suits whom?
DS-KIS205T: the simple wired kit
This is the one most Indian homes need. It does the core job well: the visitor presses the bell, the 7-inch monitor lights up, you talk, and one touch releases the door lock. The outdoor camera has infrared LEDs, so you can still see faces at night. Because it does not use your Wi-Fi, it keeps working when the internet is down. Choose it for a flat door, a kothi entrance or a small office reception where you answer from inside the building.
DS-KIS302-P: hybrid, for an easier upgrade
The DS-KIS302-P suits people who like the idea of a network-connected monitor but do not want to lay a LAN cable all the way to the gate. The outdoor side stays analog, and the indoor monitor joins your home network by cable or Wi-Fi. It is also a sensible step up if you are replacing an older analog door phone and want to reuse the route of the existing wire. Confirm the cable type from the Hikvision datasheet linked on the product page before you reuse old wiring.
DS-KIS603: the full-feature IP kit
The DS-KIS603 has the longest spec list of the four. The outdoor station has a 2MP camera with a 129° horizontal view, true WDR for bright backgrounds, motion detection and an IP65 rating for rain and dust. The 7-inch capacitive touch monitor connects by cable or Wi-Fi, records to a TF card up to 32 GB, and has 2 relay outputs and 8 alarm inputs. That means one monitor can release a door lock and a gate, and take signals from door sensors. It is a strong fit for a villa where the gate is far from the house, or an office that wants entry events tied to other security devices.
DS-KIS602: IP for planned installations
The DS-KIS602 is a wired IP system with a 7-inch 1024 × 600 screen, 4 inputs and 2 outputs, and PoE or 12 V DC power. The listing gives the indoor station specs only, so check the product page for exactly what is in the box. It is best ordered as part of a planned network, for example in a new building where the electrician is already laying Cat6 cable and a PoE switch.
Analog or IP: how do you decide?
- Look at the cable you can run. If you can only run a thin cable to the gate, stay with analog or hybrid. If a LAN cable is possible, IP opens up PoE power and more features.
- Decide if you need extra connections. One door with one lock needs nothing more than the DS-KIS205T. A gate plus a door, or alarm sensors, points to the DS-KIS603.
- Think about the building, not just today. In a new villa or office, wiring for IP now costs little more and saves rework later.
- Check your power plan. IP units can run from a PoE switch, which lets one UPS keep the network and the door phone alive. See network and PoE switches.
Hikvision kits with an electronic lock
A door phone only sends the unlock signal; a separate electric lock does the opening. If you want a ready set, we bundle Hikvision analog kits with our electronic rim lock:
| Kit | What the listing includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Combo-CN209 | RML-8K electronic door lock, remote power supply, 3 remotes and the Hikvision DS-KIS204 7-inch video door phone | ₹10,750 |
| Combo-CN219 | RML-8K electronic door lock, Wi-Fi power supply for app unlocking, 3 remotes and the Hikvision DS-KIS205T | ₹11,200 |
Both kits have limited stock, so WhatsApp us to confirm before you plan the job. More lock-and-door-phone sets are in rim lock + door phone kits, and our main gate electronic lock guide explains how remote and app locks work on Indian gates.
Is Hikvision worth the extra cost?
For a single door where you only want to see and talk, a non-Hikvision wired kit such as the Secureye S-VDP9 (₹4,999) does the basic job for less. Hikvision earns its price when you want a known brand, a published datasheet to check specs against, or need the IP features of the DS-KIS603 and DS-KIS602. Our video door phone price guide compares every brand we stock by price band.

FAQ
Does a Hikvision video door phone need internet?
No. The analog DS-KIS205T needs no internet or router at all. The IP and hybrid models use a local network between units, and only need internet if you want features that go outside the building.
Can a Hikvision video door phone open my gate or door?
Yes, with a separate electric lock. The DS-KIS205T has one-touch unlock, and the DS-KIS603 lists 2 relay outputs, so one monitor can release two locks.
What is the difference between DS-KIS205T and DS-KIS302-P?
Both have an analog outdoor camera. The DS-KIS205T monitor is also analog, while the DS-KIS302-P monitor is an IP device that connects to your network by cable or Wi-Fi.
Does the Hikvision DS-KIS603 work on PoE?
Yes. Its listing states the door station takes standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 V DC, so a PoE switch can power it over the LAN cable.
Can the Hikvision DS-KIS603 record visitors?
Its indoor monitor has a TF card slot that takes cards up to 32 GB, and the outdoor station supports motion detection. Check the product page for how recording is set up.
