Installation

  • Step 1 – Select a Suitable Location
    Install the detector indoors in a suitable location. Keep it at least 50 cm away from lighting appliances, and at least 150 cm away from ventilation fans, air conditioners and vents. If installed close to a cabinet/ceiling obstruction, maintain the specified clearance of 60 cm.
  • Step 2 – Install the Mounting Plate
    For screw installation, drill the required holes in the ceiling, insert the plastic expansion nuts and secure the mounting plate using the supplied self-fastening screws.
  • Step 3 – Attach the Detector
    Align the back of the detector with the mounting plate and rotate it clockwise until you hear a “snap” sound indicating that it is installed correctly.
  • Step 4 – Power and Test the Detector
    Install the required battery before mounting the detector onto the installation plate. Press the TEST button to confirm that the detector produces the expected alarm response.
