Exit Switches & Emergency Door Release

Exit switches let people leave an access-controlled door without a card. Fit one on the inside of every door that has an EM lock, drop bolt or electric strike. Choose a steel push button for busy doors, a plastic button for light use, or a no-touch infrared sensor for clinics, labs and food areas. Use a gang box when the switch cannot be recessed into the wall.

For fire exits and escape routes, add an emergency door release (break-glass) that cuts power to the lock in an emergency.

Not sure what your door needs? Use our access control kit builder or read the door access control system guide.
