ACJ-405 Wi-Fi GSM touch alarm panel kit for shop security

Jewellery Shop Security: Alarms, Shutter Sensors, Panic Buttons and Cameras

Short answer: a single-shutter jewellery shop can put in a proper alarm layer (GSM and Wi-Fi alarm panel, shutter sensor, vibration sensors on the safe, two hidden panic buttons and an outdoor solar siren) for about ₹14,500. Add three Wi-Fi cameras, a motion sensor and a fire extinguisher and the full setup comes to about ₹26,600. Jewellery shops face two different risks: a break-in at night through the shutter, wall or roof, and a robbery during opening hours at the counter. A normal shop alarm handles the first. The second needs silent panic buttons and cameras that show faces clearly. This guide builds one plan for both, using products we actually stock.

What does a jewellery shop need, and why?

  • An alarm panel that calls you. The ACJ-405 works on Wi-Fi and 2G (GSM), stores up to 5 phone numbers and places an emergency call when a sensor trips. A siren alone is not enough at 2 am when the market is empty. You need the call on your phone, your brother's phone and the night chowkidar's phone.
  • A shutter sensor. Most break-ins start by lifting the shutter a few centimetres. The kit we recommend already includes the SH-43 wireless roller shutter sensor.
  • Vibration sensors on the safe and the shared wall. Many jewellery thefts come through the wall of the next shop or the back of the strongroom. A VS-43 vibration sensor detects vibration from hammering or drilling, so the alarm can go off before anyone gets in.
  • Silent panic buttons. Fix one PNC-43 panic button under the main counter and one in the owner's cabin, out of sight. Staff can trigger the alarm without reaching for a phone.
  • A loud siren outside. The SRSOL-43 solar siren has a flashing light and a built-in rechargeable battery charged by its solar panel, so it keeps working through a power cut and needs no wire to the panel.
  • Cameras that see faces and the counter top. Put one camera above the counter looking at customers' faces, one at the entrance and one on the safe or back room.
  • A motion sensor for after hours. Shutter and wall sensors cover the edges. A PIR motion sensor inside covers the roof, the AC duct or a false ceiling.

Wiring, a SIM card, memory cards for the cameras and an electrician's visit are extra. The panic buttons, vibration sensors and siren are wireless, which keeps cable work small in a shop that is already finished.

Where should each device go?

  1. Alarm panel: inside, away from the shutter, where staff can arm it at closing. Do not mount it where someone at the counter can see the code being typed.
  2. Shutter sensor: at the bottom of the shutter, on the side least visible from the road.
  3. Vibration sensors: one on the safe body or the strongroom door, one on the shared wall at the height where someone would cut through.
  4. Panic buttons: under the counter lip where a knee or hand can reach it naturally, and one in the cabin. Tell every staff member where they are, and test them with the team.
  5. Siren: high on the front, above the shutter, where people on the street will hear and see the flashing light.
  6. Cameras: counter camera at head height across the counter so faces are clear, not straight down from the ceiling. Entrance camera outside, covering the shutter and the footpath.

How do the alarm and cameras work together?

The alarm detects and calls. The cameras record what happened. Wi-Fi cameras keep working only while the router has power and internet, so put the router, the alarm panel and the cameras on an inverter or UPS line. The GSM side of the ACJ-405 gives you a second path for alerts if the internet goes down. For a wider camera comparison, read our CCTV camera price guide.

FAQ

What is the best security system for a jewellery shop in India?

Use layers: a GSM and Wi-Fi alarm panel with a shutter sensor, vibration sensors on the safe and walls, hidden panic buttons at the counter, a loud outdoor siren and cameras on the counter and entrance. Our full list for a single-shutter shop comes to ₹26,645.

How much does a jewellery shop alarm system cost?

The core alarm in this guide (panel kit with shutter sensor, two vibration sensors, two panic buttons and a solar siren) costs ₹14,449. Cameras, a motion sensor and a fire extinguisher bring it to ₹26,645.

Will the alarm call me if someone breaks the shutter at night?

Yes. The ACJ-405 stores up to 5 phone numbers and places an emergency call when a sensor is triggered. Keep a working SIM in it as well as Wi-Fi.

Where should a panic button be fitted in a jewellery shop?

Under the main counter where staff can press it without being noticed, and one more in the owner's cabin or safe room. Test them with all staff so everyone knows how they work.

Can thieves enter through the wall without lifting the shutter?

Yes, which is why the safe and any shared wall should have vibration sensors. They detect vibration from hammering or drilling and can trigger the alarm before entry.

Do the cameras work during a power cut?

Only if they have power and internet. Run the router, cameras and alarm panel from an inverter or UPS. The solar siren has its own rechargeable battery.
