G2 TTLock Wi-Fi gateway for smart door locks

Share Door Access With Family Using a Wi-Fi Smart Lock App

Short answer: with a Wi-Fi smart lock, you share door access by adding each family member to the lock's app (Smart Life or Tuya Smart for some locks, TTLock for others) on their own phone, and give visitors or staff a time-limited or one-time password instead of a permanent one. On our store, a Smart Life gate lock kit that shares with up to 15 members costs ₹5,499, Wi-Fi door locks with temporary visitor passwords cost ₹7,499 to ₹7,950, and a TTLock Wi-Fi gateway that lets you manage TTLock locks from anywhere costs ₹2,999.

Sharing a lock well is less about the app and more about habits: separate accounts, short-lived codes for helpers, and a regular look at the unlock log. Below are the steps, what each lock on our store supports according to its listing, and live prices that include GST.

Which app does my smart lock use?

Most smart locks and lock supplies on our store use one of two app families. The product listing names the app, and that decides how sharing works.

  • Smart Life / Tuya Smart. Used by the PSWF-01 Wi-Fi lock supply and the kits built on it (such as Combo-CN111), the Combo-CN65 fingerprint gate kit, the NeoBL-05 and BMT-22 smart locks, the FPHL-900 handle lock and the TY-PL padlock.
  • TTLock. Used by the Combo-CN214 fingerprint gate kit and the FPAL-2K fingerprint padlock. TTLock locks talk to your phone over Bluetooth; the G2 gateway connects them to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and the cloud so you can manage them from anywhere.

Some listings also say app control needs a Wi-Fi connection or a gateway, while fingerprint, PIN and card opening work without internet. That is worth remembering: sharing through the app is a convenience on top of the lock, not a replacement for a PIN or key.

How to share a smart lock with your family

General steps that apply to both app families. Menu names vary between app versions, so follow the lock's manual for the exact screens.

  1. Set up the lock on one admin phone. Install the app named in the listing, add the lock, and keep this account as the owner. Use a strong password on it.
  2. Ask each family member to install the same app and register their own account with their own phone number or email.
  3. Invite them from the admin account. In Smart Life or Tuya Smart this is done by sharing the device or adding members; the TY-PL listing, for example, uses Member Management, then Share Member, and says the other person's account must already be registered in the app. In TTLock, the app lets you generate e-keys and manage users.
  4. Check the member limit. The PSWF-01 Wi-Fi supply allows up to 15 members, which covers most joint families.
  5. Test from each phone. Each person opens the lock once while standing near it, and once from outside the home network if Wi-Fi access is supported.

Never share the admin login itself. If one phone is lost, you only remove that one member, and everyone else keeps working.

How to give a maid, driver or guest temporary access

For people who need access for a while, or only once, use passwords that expire rather than adding them as members. According to the listings:

  • Combo-CN65 (Smart Life): set a periodic password that works for a fixed time, or a one-time password that expires after a single use within 6 hours.
  • NeoBL-05 (Smart Life): add a temporary password through the app for visitors, valid for a scheduled date and time.
  • TTLock locks: the TTLock remote listing says the app can set passcodes, generate e-keys, check records and manage users.

When a helper leaves, delete their password or card the same day. For people who do not use smartphones, such as elderly parents or young children, give them a fingerprint, a card or a remote instead. The TTLock Bluetooth remote is sold for exactly this.

How do I see who opened the door?

Check the unlock records in the app. The Combo-CN65 listing says every opening is logged and you can tap the reminder to see who came in and when. The NeoBL-05 listing says you get notified whenever someone unlocks the door, which is useful when only a helper is at home. The Combo-CN214 panel supports checking opening records in the TTLock app.

FAQ

How many family members can use one Wi-Fi gate lock?

Kits built on the PSWF-01 Wi-Fi lock supply, such as Combo-CN111, allow up to 15 members in the Smart Life app and up to 20 remotes.

Can I give a visitor a password that expires?

Yes, on locks that support it. Combo-CN65 offers periodic passwords and one-time passwords that expire after a single use within 6 hours, and the NeoBL-05 supports temporary passwords for a scheduled date and time.

Does sharing a smart lock need internet?

Opening from far away does. Fingerprint, PIN and card opening work on the lock itself without internet, and TTLock locks can be opened over Bluetooth nearby; the G2 gateway adds Wi-Fi access.

What happens if a family member loses their phone?

Remove that member or their e-key from the admin account. Other members are not affected, and the lock still opens by fingerprint, PIN, card, remote or key as the model allows.

Should I share my admin login with my family?

No. Give each person their own account and keep one admin account for adding and removing users.

Can I see who unlocked the door?

Yes, on models with logs. Combo-CN65 logs every opening, the NeoBL-05 sends unlock notifications, and Combo-CN214 supports opening records in TTLock.
