What is an electronic rim lock kit?
A rim lock fixes to the inside face of a gate or door, with a strike on the frame. The RML-8K listing describes a weatherproof steel lock body, a self-locking latch that locks again as the gate closes, and a brass key cylinder with keys so the gate can be opened by hand in a power cut. Only the key cylinder shows on the outside.
The lock itself has no buttons or radio. It needs a 12 V DC lock supply, and that supply decides how users open the gate.
