Fingerprint, RFID card and keypad rim locks cost ₹3,950 to ₹9,499, and a rim lock bundled with an audio or video door phone costs ₹3,999 to ₹12,199. The price moves with how you want to open the gate, how many remotes come in the box, and whether a keypad, fingerprint panel or door phone is included. Lock only or kit: what you are actually buying
An electronic rim lock fixes on the inside face of the gate, with a strike plate on the frame. The latch locks again by itself when the gate shuts. To open it electrically, the lock needs a 12 V supply and something that tells it to open: a remote receiver, a Wi-Fi controller, a push button, a door phone or a fingerprint panel.
A lock only listing is just that. The RML-8K lock-only listing, for example, comes with the lock, strike, 8 keys, cylinder and fitting kit. Its description says power supply, remotes, cable and installation are not included.
A kit adds the parts that make it work. In the tables below, “What is in the box” lists only what the product title or description states: usually the lock, a power supply or adapter with a receiver, and a set number of remotes. If a part is not named there, assume it is not in the box. Cable and fitting are extra on every kit unless the listing says installation is included. On a metal gate the lock may need a welded plate, so budget for a fabricator or electrician.

These kits open by remote and from the Smart Life (Tuya) app on Android or iPhone. Kits with the TYP-12 Wi-Fi controller or the PSWF-01 Wi-Fi lock supply also work with Alexa and Google Home, as their listings state. What moves the price
- How you open it. Remote-only is the cheapest. Adding the phone app costs more: the Combo-CN231 (RML-8K, remote lock supply, 3 remotes) is ₹3,699, while the Combo-CN111 (RML-8K, Wi-Fi lock supply, 3 remotes) is ₹5,499.
- Number of remotes. In the TYP-12 Wi-Fi kits, each extra remote adds ₹300: ₹3,450 with one remote, ₹3,750 with two and ₹4,050 with three.
- Type of supply. The PSWF-01 Wi-Fi lock supply has terminals for an exit switch and a video door phone, and takes up to 15 app members and 20 remotes. Kits built on it cost more than kits with the TYP-12 controller.
- Keyless panels. A fingerprint or keypad panel roughly doubles the cost of the lock alone. The RML-8K lock is ₹3,799 on its own; the same lock with a weatherproof fingerprint panel and supply is ₹7,949 to ₹7,950.
- Door phone. Kits with a 7-inch video door phone cost ₹10,750 to ₹11,200. An audio door phone kit starts at ₹4,199.
- Installation. Only kits that say so include fitting. The Combo-CN179 description states onsite installation is included, at ₹6,849.

What happens to an electronic gate lock in a power cut?
The gate stays locked, and you open it from outside with the key. Every kit built on the RML-8K lock has a 32 mm brass key cylinder for this. Battery-powered models such as the BFMT-11 and the FPLK-ACRB wireless kit do not depend on mains power at all.
Will the remote still work if the Wi-Fi or internet is down?
Yes. The remotes talk to the receiver in the supply directly by radio, so they need no Wi-Fi or internet. Only app and voice control stop until the internet is back.
How many people can use one Wi-Fi gate lock?
Kits built on the PSWF-01 Wi-Fi lock supply let you share the lock with up to 15 members in the Smart Life app and pair up to 20 remotes.
Can I connect an electronic lock to my existing video door phone?
Yes, if the door phone has a lock output. The PSRM-01 and PSWF-01 supplies have a terminal for it, and the Combo-CN133 is a lock and supply made for this. Check your door phone's manual first.
Is installation included in the price?

Which is better for a main gate: remote, Wi-Fi or fingerprint?
A remote kit is enough if everyone who opens the gate drives or stays at home. Wi-Fi lets you open it for a guest from anywhere. A fingerprint or keypad panel suits families with children, elderly parents or staff who should not carry remotes.
